A Day On The Beach

09:19 Apr 29 2008
Times Read: 873

I took my daughter to the beach this past weekend, there were three kids in all and they were all playing nicely ... HUH.

The adults were involved in a serious three on three international soccer game .... in plain sight of the kids.

Anyway........

I received a phone call last night from my ex-wife, apparently my daughter was collecting crabs ... over 40 in all!!!! They are the tiny 1 to 2'' variety, but how she got them past me was amazing, (actually not so amazing as we were beating Poland 4-0 at the time). I thought it strange when she asked for her jacket on such a hot day.

We are both nature lovers and she knows better than to remove them from their natural environment. She took them home and housed them in her dolls house, she used water and sand as special features. Even giving a few of them names, Ah Bless!

The discovery came when my ex noticed vast amounts of pierogi (a Polish delicacy) had gone missing from the fridge....

Next weekend is bank holiday ... the crabs will be going home.

''Tomorrow is another day''

Hi journal,

Seems the time has finally come to move on.

Tomorrow I will go to my mothers grave and say a 'Kaddish'(קדיש) for her, was it really ten years ago that I lost her. This I know will bring many tears as I have no wish to keep them locked up anymore. It may even do me good.

I tend to get very sensitive around this time and my actions are exasperated, if anyone has been caught out by that ...I apologise.

I'm hoping to have a great evening tonight but I know next week I will need to do some serious sole searching and thinking ... I need to get back on track.

I need to find myself again.

What a month...

My poor car finally died this week.

Not been the best of years for me so far but I know I can turn all that around and that has already started.

I always feel kind of melancholy at this time of year.

Unlike on other occasions, I seem to have picked myself up from the latest disasters that have been going on in my life. My life seems to be moving forward more positively now and with good prospects in store.

It was around this time 10 years ago that I lost my mother to cancer. My daughter was born three weeks later, I didn’t know whether to be happy or grieve for my mother. I did neither.

The emotional roller-coaster of loving my daughter and not grieving properly for my mother has left me feeling guilty, and emotionally scarred I managed to lock this away, but the result is how I am today and how I deal with people, women especially.

Every now and again I open the door and deal with this emotional issue. Some days I win, some days I lose.

So now I need to do a bit of car shopping....

I think I'll take a friend this time as four cars in two years must say something about my choices.

I wonder if this also says something about my choice in women...lol

Your honesty alone speaks of your beautiful soul. It isn't easy to be so transparent about the way we feel about ourselves. All the rest are just...details.

What a week.

Just as I get the all clear from the hospital, well all bar a couple of things, I found out yesterday that a friend has terminal cancer and may have 3 to 6 months....

I digest that then today I get home to hear that my cousins husband has had a heart attack.......

I've been warned to stay 'stress free', go figure!

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, but at least he/she has you as a friend, there is nothing so sad about someone sick who has no-one to care.

As for your good news....well hell man, get yourself out and PARTY x
